Scott Parson, age 58, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born on June 5, 1957, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Raymond Scott SR. and Virginia Parson, and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alton H. & Leola Scott Parson, and W. Claude & Ara Lee Williams McLarty; and mother-in-law, Dallis Lamb Mauldin. Mr. Parson was the owner of Scott’s Petroleum Installations, INC and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hiram. He was devoted and loving husband & father; loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends. Scott enjoyed helping others, had a generous heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 

Survivors include wife of 33 years, Sandy Parson of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Cassie L. Parson, of Jacksonville, AL; sisters, Susan (Ray) McCravy of Hiram, GA, and Sharon (Kurt) Epperson of Cumming, GA; father-in-law, Anson L. Mauldin of Social Circle, GA; brother-in-law, Gregory (Carol) Mauldin of Snellville, GA; nieces, Kristin (Matt) Crowe of Colorado Springs, CO, Sidney (fiancé Brandon Hubner) Epperson of Cumming, GA, Savannah Epperson of Dahlonega, GA, and Lauren D. Mauldin of Snellville, GA; great-niece, Riley Crowe; great-nephews, Asher and Eli Crowe.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Rodney Carson and Reverend Bruce Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Jim Castle, Luke Castle, Gene Hobbs, Steve Davis, Justin Johnson, Allen Lovell, Kimsey Spradlin, and Tommie Shepherd will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 9, 2015, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
