Joyce Morris, age 78, of Fruithurst, AL, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She was born on February 15, 1937, in Mableton, GA, to the late Nathan and Mary Gordon, and was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Morris. She was a member of Outreach Church in Fruithurst, AL.

 

Survivors include children, Ava Davis of Dallas, GA, Lynn & Tony Clayton of Fruithurst, Al, and Eldon & Delores Morris of Mableton, GA; brother, Jerry Gordon of Tallapoosa, GA; sister, Edith Jenkins of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Leith & Kristi Davis, Crystal Davis, Adam & Kara Clayton, and Robert Clayton; great-grandchildren, Hunter Davis, Nathan Davis, Brock Davis, Kylee Davis, and Ethan Davis; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 2 PM, from Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Rouzelle Sanders officiating. Leith Davis, Adam Clayton, Robert Clayton, Jamie Davis, Robbie Wiley and Seth Cook will serve as pallbearers. Hunter Davis and Nathan Davis will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM.
