What's the smell in the air this time of year?

Every year at about this time I smell a clean floral smell in my backyard but nothing is in bloom. I don't ever smell it in the spring...only fall. Anyone have any idea of what it might be?

We have tea olive bush's in our yard. The have teenie tiny blooms on them but they smell up the whole yard. You have to really study the bush to see any flowers.

I live next to a guy who processes deer - all I smell during hunting season is dead animals.
