Funeral Director Posted April 4, 2015 Report Share Posted April 4, 2015 Mr. Jacob Christian Broome, age 19 of Dallas, GA, passed away on April 3, 2015 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Jacob was born on April 21, 1995 in Marietta, GA, the son of Joe and Karen Broome. He attended North Paulding High School where he lettered in basketball and baseball and graduated an honor student. Jacob was currently a student at Southern Polytechnic State University and was studying Mechanical Engineering. He was an employee at Woods Pool Service and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed playing flag football, frisbee, and also enjoyed playing video games. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. Joseph Broome, Sr. and Patsy Ruth Phillips. Jacob is survived by his father and mother, Joe and Karen Broome of Dallas, GA; one sister, Brittany Broome of Dallas, GA; Maternal Grandparents, George and Martha Washington of Dallas, GA; two uncles, Christopher E. Washington of Dallas, GA and Tim Broome of Yorkville, GA; three aunts, Sharon Turner of Cedartown, GA, Lisa Broome of Newnan, GA, and Toni Chapel of Newnan, GA; and several other family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Jacob will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at West Ridge Church with Reverend Brian Bloye and Coach Ryan Dyer officiating. Interment services will follow at the Dallas Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a fund established at the Georgia Heritage Bank; 18 Georgia Heritage Place, Dallas, GA 30132. Lil_lu Posted April 5, 2015 Report Share Posted April 5, 2015 So young. I didn't know Jacob personally but I know his parents. They are good people and loved their son so much. It's heartbreaking.
