Clark Funeral Home Posted February 24, 2015 Report Share Posted February 24, 2015 Helen Gunter, age 90, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015. She was born on October 2, 1924, in Marietta, GA, to the late Thomas & Lou Bloodworth, and was preceded in death by her husband H.B. Gunter. Mrs. Gunter was a United States Navy Veteran. Over the years she worked as a secretary for Atlanta Casket Company, a bank teller, and owned a fabric and craft store, as well as being a full time mother. Mrs. Gunter was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include children, Alicia G. & Lewis Parrott of Dallas, GA, Deidra & Steve Brewer of Bremen, GA, Keith Gunter of Dallas, GA, and Renata Gunter of Dalton, GA; brother, Arvel Bloodworth, and sister, Mabel Bohlmann of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Ricky Bice officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Dwayne Parrott, Dustin Parrott, Alex Brewer, Avery Rogers, Chris Brewer, and David Williams will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 27, 2015, from 4 PM until 8 PM. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
