Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Simmons, age 66, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was born on May 31, 1948, in Tallahassee, FL, to the late, Lacy & Juanita Simmons, and was preceded in death by her infant sons, Conrad and Gregory Simmons. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Kennesaw and worked as an Administrative Assistant at Simmons Engineering.

Survivors include daughter, Stacy Barnes Scott and husband, Kevin of Dallas, GA; son, Warren “Rusty” Barnes, JR, of Rockmart, GA; brothers, Lacy William Simmons, JR, of Woodstock, GA, and Buck Simmons of Marietta, GA; sister, Janice Simmons Garner of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Brent Scott and Amy Scott; step-granddaughter, Tiera Clark; great grandson, Jackson Bostich; niece, Erin Garner; nephews, Jonathan Garner, Nicholas Simmons and Lacy Simmons III.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Warren “Rusty” Barnes, JR, Dennis Scott, Kevin Scott, Brent Scott, Chip Simmons, Jonathan Garner, Everett “Buddy” Walters, Lacy William Simmons, JR, and Buck Simmons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
