Dear Parents,

As your students head home for Holiday Break, I want to make you aware of a major change that you will see when your child returns to school on January 6, 2015.

The county is working to improve traffic flow along Bob Grogan Drive. They will begin work Monday, December 29th. There is a good possibility that when the second semester starts, Bob Grogan Drive will be under construction.

The end result is to improve traffic flow in and out of our North campus, and there will be four major traffic flow changes that you need to be aware about:

1. Left turns will no longer be allowed out of McClure Middle onto Bob Grogan Drive during the AM and PM Peak hours. Only right turns will be allowed.

2. To accommodate for those cars needing to go back into the North campus complex from McClure, a U-turn lane will be added on Bob Grogan Drive.

3. The center median on Bob Grogan Drive will be removed to allow for a second inbound lane into the North campus.

4. As drivers turn off of Harmony Grove Road, there will be dedicated lanes on Bob Grogan to accommodate right and left turners.

Until construction is complete, this will be a constantly changing situation. We will provide updates as construction progresses. The county will be putting up signage to alert drivers to the changes.

We encourage each of you to pay close attention to these signs. Also, please allow some extra time as you may run into delays during the AM and PM peak hours.

We have posted a color map of the changes on the district web site (paulding.k12.ga.us) and our school web sites as well.
