Jackie Lamar Sexton, age 63, of Dallas, GA passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. He was a preceded in death by his parents, William Luther Sexton, Sr. and Ruby Louise Sexton. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Sexton was a man who enjoyed life and adventurous activities.

He is survived by his daughter, Treva Sexton of Lithia Springs, GA; brother, William Luther Sexton, Jr. of Northbend, Oregon and sister, Hallie Cunningham of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Noaah and Rachel Moore; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Lackey and Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Wimbush officiating. Mr. Sexton will lie in state at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
