Mr. Marion Edward Hayes

Mr. Marion Andrew Hayes, age 61, of Dallas passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 10, 2014.

 

Marion was born in Douglasville, GA on November 2, 1952 to loving parents the late Mr. Andrew Hayes and Mrs. Mae Hayes. Marion worked as a plumber with GLT Plumbing, Inc. for many years. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of New Smyrna Methodist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed guitar and all music, painting, writing poetry, and enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends.

 

. Marion is survived by his wife of 13 years, Amy Hayes of Dallas, GA., and one son, Matt (Amy) Hayes of Villa Rica, GA and one daughter, Marian (Jameun) Hamilton of Palm Coast, Florida. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Micah Johnson, Hayden Hayes, Emerson Hayes, Jelani Hamilton and Elijah Hamilton. He is also survived by one sister, Qutee Hayes of Powder Springs, GA and two brothers, Mr. Joel (Sonya) Hayes and Spencer (Joyce) Hayes all of Douglasville, GA. In addition survivors include several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends

 

He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Andrew Hayes and Mrs. Mae Hayes, one sister, Mrs. Louise Tolbert, brother in law, Mr. Billy Tolbert and one aunt, Mrs. Blanche Hayes.

 

A graveside inurnment service will be conducted at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA are pending. In lieu of flowers the family as requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
