Eugene Adelbert Sargent, 79, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in his home. Eugene was born on February 7, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. He served the Lord and his country; we have been honored to call him husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was the most creative, artistic, articulate, and inventive man we knew and he will be missed.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Cory Sargent Martin. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Sargent; five children, Kenneth A. Sargent (Joan), Carolaine Elizabeth Duncan, Vanessa Jean Sargent, Cory R. Sargent, Janice Lynn Sargent; grandchildren, Kenneth A. Sargent, Jr., Brian Richard Sargent, Tyler Eugene Smith, Alexandra Elizabeth Bryant, Kyle Andrew Sargent, William James Smith, Robert Lee Huff, III, Aubrianna Courtlin Gann; and great grandchildren, Luke Alan Sargent, Molly Leanne Sargent, Cohen Glen Sargent.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Hiram, GA. The family will receive friends from 1 3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery.
