Clark Funeral Home Posted June 29, 2014 Report Share Posted June 29, 2014 Mary Elizabeth Carpenter, age 85, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014. She was born on November 24, 1928, in Elm City, NC, to the late Jettie and Mary Etta Joyner, and was preceded in death by her son, Roger Wayne Carpenter. Ms. Carpenter was a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Randall Carpenter of Greensboro, NC, Danny Robert & Sara Carpenter of Goodlettsville, TN, and Kenneth Richard Carpenter of St. Marys, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda & Grover Smithwick of Lenoir City, TN, and Debbie & Steve Sawyer of Hiram, GA; sister, Jackie Weaver of Wilson, NC; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
