Olive Oyl
I found a baby bat today and in looking for help I ran across an amazing group of people. A volunteer organization that takes injured or abandoned animals and places them in licensed rehabilitation facilities. I spoke with the owner, Chet Powell, and he'd taken over 60 calls in our area today alone. They have volunteers everywhere, but don't have any in the Paulding County area! He offers an online course in Basic Emergency Care & Procedure for Injured/Orphaned Wildlife. It is part-time and many of his current volunteers have careers and volunteer on their time off. Check out his website .... http://www.georgiawildliferescue.org/ ...They took my baby bat along with another baby bat they'd rescued today and delivered it to a rehab facility. They also rescued deer and 2 bobcat pups from our area today!
