Gail McAdams Carter, age 74, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014. She was born in Dallas, GA, December 21, 1939, and was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred B. & Ann Twilley McAdams; husband, Robert F. Carter; brother, Wendell R. McAdams and sister-in-law, Alline McAdams. Mrs. Carter loved the Lord and was a charter member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer for over 28 years and played the piano. Beginning in the 70s she was an accomplished business woman, which continued throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Terressa Carter Williams & husband, Steve of Dallas, GA, Roben Carter & wife, Denise of Dallas, GA, Jennifer Carter Holcomb & husband, Bryant of Tallapoosa, GA, Janet Carter Beaty & husband, Brian of Douglasville, GA, and Jill Carter Connell & husband, Steve of Douglasville, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Jim McAdams & wife, Sandy of Dallas, GA; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Faith Missionary Baptist Church, with Brother Randy Clarke and Brother Doug Ledford. (The body will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 AM until the service time). Interment will be in White Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Kyle Connell, Ryan Connell, Jacob Beaty, J. R. Holcomb, John Beaty, Silas Clarke and Bennett Beaty serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, May 23, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
