Mr. David John Dilbeck

Mr. David John Dilbeck, age 52 of Dallas passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

David was born on December 24, 1961 in Dallas, GA, the son of the late Frank John Dilbeck and Irene Mooneyham Pope. He retired from maintenance with the Cobb County Water Department and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed motorcycles, gardening and fishing. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by an uncle, Jack Mooneyham and a brother-in-law, Steven Pace.

David is survived by his wife of two years, Rhonda Dilbeck; three children, Michelle, Samantha, and Joshua Dilbeck, all of Dallas; two grandchildren, Lillia Molly and Levi Gonzalez, both of Marietta; mother, Irene Pope of Tallapoosa; two brothers, Terry Dilbeck of Tallapoosa and Jeffrey Dilbeck of Carrollton; a sister, Carla Jane Cooper and her husband, Clark of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews, beloved relatives and friends.

Funeral services for David will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Interment services will follow in the Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. Frank Sosebee, Terry Dilbeck, Jeff Dilbeck, Ronald Lewis, Josh Dilbeck and Brian Watson will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 4-9 pm and on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
