Funeral Director Posted May 12, 2014 Report Share Posted May 12, 2014 Mrs. Kathy Lynn Chastain Driskell, age 56 of Hiram passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her residence. Kathy was born on March 25, 1958 in Gastonia, NC, the daughter of Paul Chastain and the late Victoria Dotson. Kathy was the owner and operator of the A-Z Thrift Store and was a member of the Crossroads Non-Denominational Church in Douglasville. She enjoyed fishing, casinos, and going to the beach in Destin, FL with her best friend. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by two brothers, David Brock and Donnie Dotson. Kathy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Harold Driskell; daughter, Chasitiy and her husband, Johnny of TN; step-daughter, Jana Driskell of Austell; granddaughter, Jayden Smith of Austell; father, Paul Chastain of North GA; sister, Annette Smoker of Gainesville; three brothers, Steve Chastain of Senoia, Marty Chastain of Stockbridge and Jeff Chastain of Union City; best friends, Gina Peek of Hampton and Lottie Driskell of Dallas; special nieces, Brittany and Brandy Smoker of Gainesville; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services for Kathy will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Interment services will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4-9 pm and on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
