Mrs. Charlotte Earline McCoy Cole, age 76, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.

 

Charlotte was born on June 30, 1937 in Acworth, to loving parents the late Mr. & Mrs. Esmon and Myrtle McCoy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. Billy Franklin Cole; sister Mrs. Drewcellar Howard; niece Mrs. Glenda Howard; brother in law Mr. Robert Howard; and brother Mr. Griffin McCoy.

 

Charlotte loved her family and was a devoted homemaker. She is survived by four sons Mr. Billy “Anthony” Cole of Kingsbay, Mr. Roger Cole of Monroe, Mr. Brian Cole of Athens, and Mr. Steven Cole of Covington; four grandchildren Mr. Roger Dwayne Cole, Jr., Mr. Gary Cole, Ms. Lisa Cole, and Mr. Bobby Cole; two great grandchildren Mr. Shawn Cole, and Ms. Valerina Cole; two step grandchildren Mr. Lee Macmillan, and Mr. Dale Macmillan; two step great grandchildren Mr. Damian King, and Mr. John Pugh; many other nieces, nephews, and beloved family and friends.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Cole will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1 pm with Pastor Rodney Norman officiating. Roger Cole, Brian Cole, Anthony Cole, Roger Cole, Jr., and Bobby Cole will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 4 – 9 pm and Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
