Mr. Ross Edward Meade

Mr. Ross Edward Meade, age 72 of Dallas passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.

Mr. Meade was born on September 29, 1941 in Pound, VA, and the son of the late Bruce Meade. Mr. Meade worked in construction doing sheet rock and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed reading, gardening, weaving baskets. He was very crafty and very good at weaving. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Meade is survived by his wife, Margene Harris; three children, eight step-children, brother, Wallace Meade of Virginia, two sisters, Velma Meade and Betty Meade, both of Pound, VA, step-grandchildren, Jennifer Strickland and Caleb Slater, several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Meade will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Tibbitts and Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Interment services will follow on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Hillman Cemetery in Pound, VA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 4-9 pm and on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
