Mr. Robert Lee Parson, age 59 of Hiram, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Emory University Hospital.

Mr. Parson was born on October 30, 1954 in Austell, GA, the son of Bobby Lee Parson and the late Mary Van Parson. He was a self-employed electrician and was a member of the Ridge Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and volunteering at Warehouse of Hope. He was a very outgoing person. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his wife, Vera Analee Parson; Grandfather, Sam Parson and Grandmother, Cortez Parson.

Mr. Parson is survived by his wife, Beth Parson; three children, Jacob Lee Parson of Hiram, Jeremy Ryan Parson and his wife, Suzanne of Carrollton, and Christy Renee Haley and her husband, Dusty of Bremen; five grandchildren, Lindsey Haley and Matthew Haley, both of Bremen, Makayla Parson, Eli Parson and Gabrielle Parson, all of Carrollton; father, Bobby Lee Parson of Tignall; sister, Annette Cheek and her husband, David of Birmingham, AL; brother, Kenneth Parson of Hiram; seven nieces and nephews, Kyla McCain and Tyler McCain of Orlando, FL, Seth Eidson and Jarred Eidson of Douglasville, Erin Robbins and her husband Chris, Tim Cheek and his wife, Christi, and Daniel Cheek and his wife, Rachel, all of Birmingham, AL; and many other great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Parson will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Hewett officiating. A private family graveside service will follow the funeral. Brandon Eidson, Robert Harper, Jeff Simmons, Tim Cheek, Daniel Cheek, and Billy Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Jacob Parson, Matthew Haley, and Eli Parson will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5-9 pm and on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
