Mr. Shelly Blake Bowman

Shelly Blake Bowman, age 61 of Dallas passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Wellstar Douglasville Hospital.

 

Mr. Bowman was born on November 24, 1952 in Atlanta, GA, the son of the late Shelly Butler Bowman and Susie Mae Blair.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Weekend Gold Miners Club.  He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting and gold panning.  In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Tony Gaylor.

 

Mr. Bowman is survived by his daughter, Dana Kirkley; his mother, Susie Mae Blair Bowman; five sisters, Cindy Camp, Cheryl Harris and her husband, Ricky, Virginia "Jean" Eskew and her husband, Harold, Ruby Rakestraw, and Patsy Gaylor; two brothers, Marvin Bowman and his wife, Iva and William Bowman and his wife, Susan; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside and Interment services for Mr. Bowman will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Peaceful Meadows Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 10 am until

12 pm.
