Clark Funeral Home Posted February 13, 2014 Report Share Posted February 13, 2014 Janet Cochran Tripcony, age 88, of Dallas, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was born on April 7, 1925 in Dallas, GA to the late Emory Homer & Margaret Elo Cochran. She retired as the Director of the Paulding Co. Department of Family & Children’s Services after 40 years of service. Mrs. Tripcony was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas and other than her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Tripcony and her siblings and spouses, F.T. (Ludie) Cochran, Mary Lillie (Clyde) Gurley, Isom (Shirley) Cochran, Albert (Inez) Cochran, Melrose (Lemuel) Gladney, Henry (Elsie) Cochran, Mazelle (James) Morgan, Christi (Emory) Gordy McLendon and Warren McLendon and Marie (Robert) Dial. Survivors include her son, Jon Tripcony & Fiance’ Christy Solomon of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Jan& Daniel Moore of Hiram; sister and brother-in-law, Louise & Neal Black of Dallas; granddaughter, Brianna Solomon; step-grandsons, Danny(Mary) Moore and Shane( April) Moore; step-great-grandchildren, Justin Ledford, Devin Moore, Caleb Moore, Ashton Moore, Bryant Moore, Luke Moore, Chase Chandler and Jarrett Chandler; several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, great-great nieces & nephews, and great-great-great nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. The interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens with Homer Cochran, Bill Morgan, Clint Pittman, Matt Pittman, Dan Pittman, Ben Black, Larry Hanson and Mark Hoptroff serving as pallbearers. The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers, Charlie Black, Rick Bently, Carlos Walraven, Stan Hoptroff and Randy Cochran. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements. www.samclarkfuneralhome.com. She was an invaluable member of the Paulding Historical Society back when I was active and I grew to know how kind, smart and lovely a person she was.
