Clark Funeral Home Posted January 28, 2014 Report Share Posted January 28, 2014 Jean Black, age 82, of Whitesburg, GA, formerly of Woodstock, GA, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. She was born in Shoal Creek, NC, March 29, 1931, and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Ebbie Akens, and her husband, Bill Black. Mrs. Black was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. Survivors include her children, Sherry & Skip Sims of Powder Springs, GA, Jackie & Peggy Black of Austell, GA, Pam & Lloyd Cargle of Whitesburg, GA, Kim & Vicky Black of Hiram, GA, Tim & Lori Black of Marietta, GA, and Vickie White of Carrollton, GA; sisters & brother-in-law, Catherine & Paul Billings of Winston-Salem, NC, Martha Crain of Acworth, GA and Becky Akens of Blue Ridge, GA; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Dexter Landers officiating. Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
