Carolyn Ragsdale Garmon, age 88, of Hiram, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014. She was born in Hiram, GA, on June 22, 1925, and was preceded in death by her parents, Clint Warner Ragsdale, Sr. & Florine Roper Ragsdale; husband, J C Garmon, Sr.; brother, John D. Ragsdale; and sister, Tish Rakestraw. Mrs. Garmon was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Jay & Donna Garmon of Hiram, GA; daughter, Sara Daniel of Buford, GA; brother, Buddy Ragsdale of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Scott Garmon (Stephanie), Shon Garmon (Amanda), Karen Shelton (Keith), and Dan Reece (Hannah); nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 17, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Chris Branscomb officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Scott Garmon, Shon Garmon, Dan Reece, Sonny Ragsdale, Carlton Rakestraw and Larry Ragsdale serving as pallbearers. Alec Garmon and Ethan Garmon will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
