Clark Funeral Home Posted January 3, 2014 Report Share Posted January 3, 2014 Forrest Thompson, age 88, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014. He was born on August 28, 1925 in Alpine, AL, and was preceded in death by his father, King David Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God and retired with over 40 years of service from Capitol City Club Grocery Store where he worked as a butcher. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Louise Thompson of Dallas, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila & Russ Ragsdale of Pine Mountain Valley, GA; grandchildren, Michelle & Bo Lawler of Oneonta, AL, Deanne Tate of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren, Rob & Jessica Lawler of Oneonta, AL, Melissa Lawler of Oneonta, AL, and Jessy Tate of Dallas, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at 2 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Chris Pavlovsky and Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
