Earlie L. Crane, age 88, of Dallas, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. He was born on February 24, 1925 in Dallas, GA to the late Ervin & Leola Crane. He was a WW II Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Mr. Crane was a carpenter for most of his life and loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Margaret L. Crane; his children, Marcia & J. C. Nails of Dallas, Michael L. & Jeannie Crane of Bremen, Brenda & Gary Morris of Dallas and Lynn & Allen Turner of Dallas; a brother, L. C. & Gwen Crane of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Jewel Anderson of Marietta, Mary Lee Garner of Hiram and Carolyn & Nolan Haygood of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Marlene (Brian) Carroll, Mark Nails, Cindy (Ed) McBride, Jeremy (Sunny) Crane, Wendi (Shane) Graves, Amy (Jason) Lanham, Alicia (Eli) Sorrells, Ashley (Neil) Carroll, Autumn Turner and Fiance’ Daniel Cole; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Pastor Brian Carroll and Pastor Jeremy Crane officiating. The interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Mark Nails, Ed McBride, Shane Graves, Jason Lanham, Eli Sorrells and Neil Carroll serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in c/o Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta Hwy., Hiram, GA 30141 or Paris Lee, 856 Handy Rd., Hiram, GA 30141.
