Mr. James Thomas “J. T.” Bowman, age 89 of Dallas passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.

 

Mr. Bowman was born on July 29, 1924 in Cedartown, GA, the son of the late Thomas Bowman and the late Rosie R. Rogers Bowman. Mr. Bowman worked as an exterminator for Orkin and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of many years, Frances Wood Bowman and a sister, Etta Bowman.

 

Mr. Bowman is survived by two daughters, Betty Roan and her husband, Bill of Snellville and Shirley Smith and her husband, Ronny of Monroe; two granddaughters, Missy Sadlock and Brandy Dobeck, both of Snellville; a sister, Mae Matthews of Carrollton; five great grandchildren, Haven and Weston Sadlock, Hoyt, Grant, and Frances Dobeck; and a niece also survive.

 

Graveside and Interment services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 am in the New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Bice officiating.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 9:00 am until 10:30 when they in leave in procession for the graveside service.
