Melissa Bennett, age 49, of Hiram, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013. The daughter of Richard Lee Bennett and the late, Dorothy N. Bennett, she was born May 23, 1964, in Marietta, GA. Her brother, Ronnie Bennett, preceded her in death. She was a teacher at Lost Mountain Academy and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas.

Survivors include her son, Richard House of Hiram, GA; daughters, Carrie House of Douglasville, GA, Katelyn Silvers of Dallas, GA, and Savanna Silvers of Dallas, GA; father, Richard Lee Bennett of Hiram, GA; brother, Dan Bennett of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Mackenzie Brown and Chadwick Alyeyev; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 4:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Jeremy Lundy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 23, 2013, from 3:00 PM until the service time.
