Samuel Grant, age 75, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013. He was born on December 21, 1937; in East Point, GA, to the late Matthew and Hazel Grant, and was preceded in death by his son, Mark Flaig. Mr. Grant was a veteran of the United States Navy, retired from ABF Freight Systems as a truck driver, was a Teamster for 28 years, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include wife of 30 years, Millie Grant of Dallas, GA; son, Jeff Flaig of Dallas, GA; daughters, Tina Grant of Molena, GA; and Linda Owen of Locust Grove, GA; brother, Michael & Connie Grant of Lovejoy, GA; sister, Delsie Puckett of Buford , GA; sister-in-law, Jean Grant of Carrollton, GA; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at 11 a.m., from Northside Baptist Church, with Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 21, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
