Clark Funeral Home Posted October 15, 2013 Report Share Posted October 15, 2013 James Henry Kimmons, Sr., age 84, of Austell, GA, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. He was born April 9, 1929, and was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Gordon Monroe Kimmons, Sr., mother, Mary Lee Mann Kimmons, daughter & son-in-law, Darlene & Jerry Williams, and companion, Francis Brown. Survivors include his children, Deborah Priest & husband, Reverend Daniel Priest of Lithia Springs, GA, Delinda Smith & husband, Greg of Dallas, GA, Deniece Dick & husband, Greg of Lithia Springs, GA, and Jimmy Kimmons & wife, Lynn of Temple, GA; step-daughter, Susan Cunningham; brothers & sister-in-law, Harley Kimmons & wife, Betty of Smyrna, GA, Charlie Kimmons of Atlanta, GA, and Billy Eugene Kimmons of Alabama; sister & brother-in-law, Jessie Long & husband, Mackie of Smyrna, GA; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 4:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Greg Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery, with Jeremy Williams, Daniel L. Priest, Jr., Keith Smith, Justin Cole, Hunter Cole, and Jason Kitchens serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
