Funeral Director Posted October 7, 2013 Report Share Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Mrs. Mary Francis West Carroll, age 69 of Dallas passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Mary was born on June 8, 1944 in Welch, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Charles Chesterfield and Eula M. Butler West. Mary was the owner and operator of Mary’s Flowers and Gifts and was a member of the Wayside Baptist Church. She was well loved by her family and her friends and was a pillar in the Paulding County community. Mary loved collecting antiques, doll collections, old quilts, Gone with the wind, cooking and most of all flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and James West. Mary is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mr. Herbert Carroll; two sons, Brian Carroll and his wife, Marlene of Dallas and Scott Carroll and his wife, Cindy of Rockmart; six grandchildren, Whitney, Haley, and Destiney Carroll, all of Dallas, Justin and Cody Carroll of Rockmart, and Jamie Garrett of Rockmart; two sisters, Brenda Bender and her husband, Jim of Dallas and Diane Stewart and her husband, Lamar of Temple; three sisters in law, Patricia West and Eloise Carroll, both of Rockmart and Ammie Hicks of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews also survives. Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Bell and Rev. Tim Burnham officiating. Interment will follow in the Dallas Memory Gardens. Steve Chatham, J. C. Nails, Neal Brock, Bradley West, Derek West, Grey Freitas will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Butler, Jimmy Carroll, Richie Bell, Larry Blackmon, Martie Chatham, Pat Hardemen, and Sonny Roberson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 4 – 9 pm, Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 9 am -9 pm and on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
