Mr. Robert Carlton Collins of Dallas, affectionately knownas “Bobby” to his friends and family, passed away at the age of 48, on Friday,August 30, 2013 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain.

 

 

 

Bobby was born on December 28, 1964, in Atlanta, to lovingparents the late Mr. Harvey Robert Collins and Mrs. Hattie Patricia Collins Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his grandsonBrylin Collins, nephew Zachary Collins, and his grandparents.

 

 

 

He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Soperton,GA. As an avid Nascar fan, Tony Stewartwas his favorite driver. He enjoyedsports especially Atlanta Falcons Football and Braves Baseball. He loved to be outdoors and was employed as acarpenter for 30 years.

 

 

 

Bobby is survived by three children Mr. & Mrs. Adrian(Samantha) Murphy of Rydal, Ms. Iva Collins of Canton, and Mr. AustinRichardson of Mobile, AL; four sisters Mr. & Mrs. William (Renee) Chambers,Ms. Carla Collins all of Dallas, Mr. & Mrs. Wesley (Hattie) Richards ofPiedmont, AL, and Ms. Sheila Jackson of Austell; two grandchildren Daylin andKeeliegh; several nieces, nephews and other beloved friends.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Collins will be held in theChapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 11 am withReverend Steve Jones officiating. JoeGunter, Joe Nix, DJ Dutton, Tonny Chambers, Tommy Chambers and Adrian Murphywill serve as pallbearers. Gravesidewill follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Soperton, GA at 4 pm.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onSunday, September 1, 2013 from 4 – 9 pm and Monday, September 2, 2013 from 9 amuntil the funeral hour.
