Ms. Georgia Inez Chastain

Ms. Georgia Inez Chastain, age 84, of Dallas passed away onWednesday, August 21, 2013 at her residence.

 

 

 

Inez was born on August 25, 1928, in Ringgold to lovingparents the late Mr. Merrick Long and Mrs. Nellie Long. She was also preceded in death by her son Mr.Bobby Joe Dobbs, daughter Mrs. Audrey J. Porter, seven brothers and sisters.

 

 

 

Inez worked as a seamstress. She was of the Baptist faith. Sheenjoyed gardening, cooking and canning.

 

 

 

She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Sue Brown of Austell,Ms. Arlene Jackson of Pinetown, NC, and Mrs. Janice McDougal of Mableton;eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one great grandson; one brotherMr. Weldon Long of Mableton; one sister Mrs. Lucy Bryan of Dalton; severalnieces, nephews and beloved friends. Ms.Inez Chastain was loved by many and will be missed by all.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Ms. Georgia Inez Chastain will be heldin the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1pm with Reverend Ralph Nelson officiating. Brandon Hughes, Joey Brown, Sammy Porter, Sid McDougal, and BJ Dobbswill serve as pallbearers. Intermentwill follow at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onFriday, August 23, 2013 from 4 – 9 pm and Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 9 amuntil the funeral hour.
