bensonfh Posted August 6, 2013 Report Share Posted August 6, 2013 Ms. Dianna Lea Delamater, age 61, of Marietta, Ga. died on August 4, 2013 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Ms. Delameter was cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 5:00 PM from Chapel of the Benson Funeral Home. Ms. Delamater's family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 3:00PM until the time of the service at 5:00 PM. Dianna will be remembered for her sparkling and contagious laughter, spirited demeanor and selfless nature. She will remain an inspiration to her family and friends as she was always striving to overcome life's challenges and leave the world a better place than she found it. Born in San Jose, CA the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Paul (Thelma Pinkley) Wyatt. She moved to Atlanta at the age of eight when her father was transferred to Lockheed in Marietta, Ga. Dianna later became an employee of Lockheed herself following in her father's footsteps. Dianna's love for growing her flowers throughout her house and her thrift shop purchases kept her house very colorful and her friends endowed her with gifts. The dramatic oak tree once in her front yourd was her landmark in the Marietta area. Dianna lived in the Marietta for over forty years, making it her beloved home. Ms. Delameter is survived by; Son: Mr. and Mrs. Matt (Ginny) Delameter of Dallas, Ga. Grandchildren: Mckinzie Delameter and Ryan Delameter Father: Mr. Pete Wyatt of Athens, Ga. Brother: Mr. Dale Wyatt of Pensacola, Fl. and Mr. and Mrs. David (Melanie) Wyatt of Athens, Ga.
