James Walter Williams, age 83, of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013. He was born August 24, 1929 in Faunsdale, AL., and preceded in death by his parents William and Velma Burks and daughter, Juliette Benalfew. Mr. Williams was a US Army veteran and a retired Upholsterer.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Williams of Dallas, GA, sons, James Williams Jr. of Rhode Island, Tyrone Williams of Dallas, GA, Wendell and Corina Williams of Hampton, GA, and Gary and Mercedes Williams, of Spain; daughters, Patricia Ann Randolph, St. Petersburg, FL, Carolyn Miller, of New Jersey, Portia Evette Boyd of Marietta, GA, and Gaynette Williams of Dallas, GA; brothers, Joseph and Carol Brown of MA, and Mose and Minnie Brown, of Al; sister, Mildred “City” and Joe Henderson of Huntsville, AL. He also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Johnny McBurrows officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 11:00 am 3:00 p.m.
