Mrs. Marion Hitchcock Elliott Postell, age 86, of Cumming,Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Wellstar Paulding NursingCenter.

 

 

Marion was born on March 1, 1927, to loving parents the lateMr. Thomas Marion Hitchcock and Mrs. Etta I. Hembree Hitchcock. She was also preceded in death by her husbandof 33 years Mr. Aderian Daniel Elliott; second husband Mr. Jack Postell, threebrothers Mr. Bruce Hitchcock, Mr. Eual Hitchcock, and Mr. Ray Hitchcock; andtwo sisters Mrs. Ethel Daniel, and Mrs. Elsie Brannon.

 

 

Marion was of the Baptist Faith and attended 1^stBaptist of Cumming, GA.

 

 

Marion is survived by three daughters Mr. & Mrs. Earl(Linda) Johnson of Duluth, GA, Mr. & Mrs. David (Judy) Glover of PowderSprings, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Grady (Cheryl) Bice of Thomaston, GA; one sonMr. William Elliott of Snellville, GA; five grandchildren Mr. & Mrs. Scott(Kim) Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Hardy (Leslie) Cooper ofCharlotte, NC, Mrs. Jenny Hall of Chattanooga, TN, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin(Allison) Thompson of Nashville, TN, and Mr. Kyle Bice of Marietta, GA; sixgreat grandchildren Anna Kate Johnson, Sims Johnson both of Atlanta, GA, GriffCooper of Charlotte, NC, Riley Hall of Chattanooga, TN, Lainey Thompson andKipton Thompson both of Nashville, TN; one sister Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Nell)Maulding of Dallas, GA; one niece Mrs. Ann Miller of Villa Rica, GA; and otherbeloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Marion Postell will be held in theChapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11 am withReverend Ron Daniel officiating. WilliamElliott, Scott Johnson, Kyle Bice, Earl Johnson, David Glover, and Grady Bicewill serve as pallbearers. Intermentwill follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onTuesday, July 16, 2013 from 9:30 – 11 am.
