Edna Louise Hite, age 71, of Woodstock, GA., passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was born in Rome, GA. and preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Maggie Thacker, her daughter, Teresa (Sissy) Hite, her sisters, Jean Jefferson and Judy Ginn.

 

Edna worked as the concession manager for Dixie Speedway for 35 years from which she retired in 2011.

 

Mrs. Hite is survived by her husband of 54 years, Randolph (J.R.) Hite, sons: Danny & Delores Hite of Woodstock, GA., Terry Hite of Woodstock, GA., daughter; Sandra Hite & Michael Parker of Acworth, GA., brothers; Vernon Thacker, Jerry Thacker, both of Cartersville, GA., Jesse Lee & Gail Thacker of Rome, GA., sisters; Doris Pope of Rome, GA., Mozell Pope of Talking Rock, GA., grandchildren; Kassi & Thomas Belz, Melissa Martin, Christina Hite, Brandi & Gary Dalton, Frankie & Donna Long , Sammy Hite, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 3;00 P.M., from the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Edwards and Reverend Dennis Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Church of God cemetery in Bartow County with Billy Pope, Michael Pope, Frankie Long, Greg Hardy, Ronald Gulledge, Ricky Bray, Lester Cabe, Jimmy Adcock, Jerry Adcock, Jeff Hardy, Steven Hite and Darrell Pope serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
