Mrs. Dorothy Frances Hall Griffin, age 81 of Dallas passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013.

 

Mrs. Griffin was born on June 9, 1931 in Dallas, GA, the daughter of the late Roy Malcolm Hall and the late Nora Lee Wilkins Hall. She had worked as a cook in the restaurant industry and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed cooking and quilting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Mr. L. D. Griffin on September 19, 2010; sister, Gaynelle Matthews; and brothers, Donald Hall, Eugene Hall, and Ellis Hall.

 

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her son, Malcolm Lee “Rudy” Griffin of Dallas; two sisters, Evelyn Cook and her husband, Norman of Marietta and Sylvia Feezar of Jasper; brother, Lamar Hall of Dallas; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside and interment services will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Grover Hilliard officiating. The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers: Rudy Griffin, Perry Matthews, Bennie Griffin, Ron Phillips, Brian Richardson, and Mark Cooper.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 4-8 pm and Monday, May 27, 2013 from 9 am until they leave in procession for the graveside service.
