John Charles “Chuck” Vollenweider, age 81, of Dallas, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born July 29, 1931 in Hillsborough, Florida to the late David Othel Vollenweider and Sarah Christine Markey Vollenweider, also preceeded in death by his brothers David Jr. and Henry Vollenweider, and a sister Jane Thomas. John was a retired Tool and Die maker with Lockheed with 41 yrs of service and a member of County Line United Methodist Church. He loved his grandchildren, working in his garden and woodworking.

 

Survivors include, wife of 51 yrs, Betty Henley Vollenweider of Dallas, son and daughter in law William Charles and Mona Vollenweider, Woodstock, GA, daughters Delene Marie Vollenweider, Napa, CA, Iris G. Vollenweider, Dallas, GA. son in law Don Eades, Acworth, GA, brother Walter Vollenweider, Macon, GA, brother and sister in law Don and Margie Vollenweider, Valdosta, GA, sister and brother in law Carol and Jack Steinberg, Augusta, GA, sister Vera Vollenweider, Waycross, GA, grandchildren Charlie Vollenweider, Cathy Vollenweider, Christie Eades, Chip Vollenweider, Erica Eades, Carolyn Vollenweider.

 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 3.00 p.m. from County Line United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Pickering officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes 3000 Hwy 42N Stockbridge, GA, 30281 or to County Line United Methodist Church Mission Fund 1183 County Line Rd, Acworth, GA, 30101.
