Mr. Bobby Joe Dobbs, Sr., age 62, of Douglasville, Georgia,passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his residence.

 

 

 

Bobby Joe was born on December 5, 1950 to lovingparents. He served as a Sergeant in theUnited States Marine Corps, during which time he received a Good ConductMedal. Upon leaving the military he wasself-employed as a contractor doing railroad grading. He enjoyed gambling and spending time withhis grandchildren.

 

 

 

He is survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Paula Dobbs ofDouglasville, GA; three sons Mr. & Mrs. Bobby ( Jennifer) Dobbs, Jr., Mr.& Mrs. Bryan (Michelle) Dobbs all of Dallas, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Daniel(Michelle) Paschal of Warner Robins, GA; two daughters Ms. Lauren Paschal ofDallas, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Aaron (Lindsy) Fischer of Warner Robins, GA;nine grandchildren Delaney Dobbs, Madison Dobbs, Riley Dobbs, Caden Dobbs,Audrey Dobbs, Ryleigh Fischer, Luke Fischer, Kyle Fischer, and Stella Paschal;mother Mrs. Inez Chastain of Dallas, GA; three sisters Mrs. Sue Brown, Mrs.Janice McDougal both of Austell, GA, and Mrs. Arlene Jackson of N.C., and manyother beloved family and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Joe Dobbs, Sr. will be heldin the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1 pmwith Pastor Brian Alexander of Sweetwater Baptist Church in Douglasville,officiating. The following gentlemenwill serve as pallbearers Sid McDougal, Bryan Rickett, Aaron Fischer, DanielPaschal, and Tim Stoker. Interment willfollow at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onFriday, May 3, 2013 from 5 – 9 pm and Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 9 am until thefuneral hour.

 

 

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations bemade to the Special Olympics (American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 160, 160 LegionDrive, Smyrna, GA, 30080) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital (http://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org).
