Mrs. Maggie Lucille Henson Tibbitts, age 87 of Powder Springs passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Wellstar Community Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain.

 

 

Mrs. Tibbitts was born on March 12, 1926 in Gilmer County,GA, the daughter of the late Tom Henson and the late Louella Cochran Henson. Mrs. Tibbitts was a homemaker and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Atlanta. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Tibbitts in 1994; a daughter, Cheryl Kay Herrenin 2012 and brothers and sisters.

 

 

Mrs. Tibbitts is survived by three sons, Danny and Debra Tibbitts of Woodstock, Steven Michael Tibbitts of Powder Springs, and Bobby Tibbitts of Dallas; six grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Rozelle Payne of Cartersville; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Tibbitts will be held on Wednesday,April 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onTuesday, April 2, 2013 from 4-9 pm and on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 9 am until the funeral hour.
