Funeral Director Posted March 30, 2013 Report Share Posted March 30, 2013 Mr. Charles McMillan, age 78, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Charles was born on October 8, 1934 to loving parents the late Mr. Alonzo McMillan & Mrs. Leo Marsiongale McMillan. He was also preceded in death by four brothers Mr. Richard McMillan, Mr. Bobby McMillan, Mr. Glenn McMillan, and Mr. Murray McMillan; and two sisters Mrs. Vivian Hales, and Mrs. Virginia Raines. Mr. McMillan served as a Private in the United States Army. He worked as a Carpenter. He loved to hunt, fish and ride his favorite tractor. Charles is survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Lula Marvine Baxter McMillan of Powder Springs, GA; two sons Mr. & Mrs. Allen (Cheryl) McMillan of Powder Springs, GA, and Mr. & Mrs. Roy (Melissa) McMillan of Carrollton, GA; one brother Mr. Gerald McMillan of Kennesaw, GA; four grandchildren Mr. & Mrs. Greg (Randa) Hunt, Mr. Tyler Hunt, Mr. & Mrs. Bobby (Lorena) Bollin, and Mr. & Mrs. Jesse (Katie) Bollin; six great grandchildren Tyler Hunt, Cole Hunt, Chase Bollin, Reece Bollin, Payton Bollin, and Noah Bollin, many nieces, nephews, and other friends. Funeral services for Mr. Charles McMillan will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2 pm with Reverend Thomas Garner officiating. Music selections will include Amazing Grace by Jeff Eberhart, and Peace in the Valley by Debbie Cotton. Fred Henry, Greg Hunt, John Southern, Slim Dodson, Jesse Bollin, and Michael McMillan will serve as pallbearers and Bobby Bollin will serve as honorary pallbearer. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 4 – 9 pm and Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 9 am until the funeral begins at 2 pm.
