Ray Kelley, age 77, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013. He was born on March 23, 1935, in Camden, NJ, to the late George and Rachel Kelley. Mr. Kelley was a welding teacher at Osborn High School and Booker T. Washington High School. He welded on the US Kitty Hawk and also C5A Aircraft. Mr. Kelley loved to camp and hike. Mr. Kelley was a United States Army veteran and was in the 82nd Airborne Division, a member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He retired from Home Depot.

 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Beverly Ann Kelley of Dallas; daughters and sons-in-law, Angel & Steve Stark of Canton, Sherry & James Grizzle of Douglasville, Sandra & Randy McWhorter of Knoxville, TN, and Delisa Kelley of Suwanee; sons and daughter-in-law, Bruce & Dawn Kelley of Douglasville, Scott Kelley of Acworth, and Christopher Kelley of Mableton; brother and sister-in-law, George & Margaret Kelley of Glouster, NJ; sisters, Betty Ferrell of Camden, NJ, Evelyn Welch of Davie, FL, and Bertha Progen of Hiram, GA; twenty grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 11 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Bishop Paul Farley officiating. Interment will follow in Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 18, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

 

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
