Mr. Charles Terry Herington, Sr., age 70, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica.

 

 

 

Terry was born on January 18, 1943 in Calhoun, GA to loving parents the late Mr. Henry Benton Herington and Mrs. Lois Dixie Self. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Mrs. Lois Annette Starnes Herington who passed away in 1997; and a daughter in law Mrs. Rebecca Ann Herington who passed away August 24, 2012.

 

 

 

Mr. Terry Herington, Sr. was a graduate of Osborne High School. Upon completing high school he joined the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force he became self-employed in the field of civil engineering. He was Past Master of Beulah Lodge # 698 F&AM. Terry enjoyed Hot Rod Cars and building race cars. He collected old coins. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandkids. Mr. Herington, Sr. was of the Christian Faith.

 

 

 

He is survived by two daughters Mr. & Mrs. Mike (Christine) Radford and Mr. & Mrs. David (Carrie) Westmoreland all of Dallas, GA; two sons Mr. Robin Herington of Cave Springs, GA and Mr. Charles Herington, Jr. of Dallas, GA; ten grandchildren Misty Anderson, Toby Herington, Susan Torres, Avery Radford, Carson Judy, Morgan Judy, D.J. Westmoreland, Ricky Morrow, Jack Herington, and Steven Ninesling; eight great grandchildren David Crib, Savannah Anderson, Rose Anderson, Ashlyn Ninesling, Sean Ninesling, Sorin Ninesling, Faith Herington, and Jerico Torres; one sister Mrs. Caroline Waters of Calhoun, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Terry Herington, Sr. will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor Eric Bailey officiating. Music will include CD selections Amazing Grace and Old Rugged Cross. Pall bearers will include David Westmoreland, Robin Herington, Toby Herington, Jorge Torres, Josh Barnes, Chuck Pettit, Steven Adams and Steven Waters. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery where the Masons will perform Graveside Services.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 11 am until the time of service.
