Mr. James Alan Smith

Mr. James Alan Smith, age 59 of Hiram passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his residence.

 

 

 

Mr. Smith was born on July 4, 1953, the son of the late James Thad Smith and U. V. Petty Smith. Mr. Smith was a self-employed brick mason and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Smith enjoyed fishing.

 

 

 

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Judy Ann Queen Smith; two sons, Joe (Kristy) Smith and Aaron Smith, both of Hiram; daughter, Janet Smith of Hiram; four grandchildren, McKenzie Smith, Chandler Smith, Jamie Yarborough and Nicole Yarborough; two sisters, Pat Minor of Powder Springs and Brenda (Ron) Benallo of Alabama; two brothers, Bo Smith of Powder Springs and Steve (Karen) Smith of Plant City, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mr. Smith will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 4-9 pm and on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 9 am until they leave in procession for the church.
