Mrs. Edith Malinda Bullock Clay, age 82 of Dallas passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Wellstar Community Hospice at Cobb.

 

 

 

Mrs. Clay was born on March 15, 1930 in Dallas, GA, the daughter of the late George Bullock and Edith Marie Russom Bullock. Mrs. Clay worked as a clerk for Lockheed and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and loved attending the quarterly breakfast of the Dallas High School Alumni Association. She loved gardening. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert James Clay on January28, 1990.

 

 

 

Mrs. Clay is survived by her daughters, Marie (John Kelly) Turnerand Marilyn (Bobby Joe) Alsobrook, all of Dallas; son, Allen (Lynn) Clay of Dallas; six grandchildren, Clay Brackett, Jennifer Hornbuckle, Marcy Bearden,Meredith Stewart, Beth Alsobrook, and Will Clay; four great grandchildren, Anna Cochran, Carlee Davis, Caine Bearden, and Lily Stewart; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Clay will be held on Wednesday,February 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Dallas with Rev.Jeremy Lundy officiating. A Eulogy willbe given by her nephew, Andy Clay. Interment will follow in the Dallas Memory Gardens. Clay Brackett, Will Clay, Johnny Stewart,Kevin Hornbuckle, Rusty Clark, Caine Bearden and Jason Bearden will serve as pallbearers. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart and Becky Bearden.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 4-9 pm and on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 9am until they leave in procession for the church.
