Clark Funeral Home Posted January 18, 2013 Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 Katherine Nobel Henkle, 69, of Dallas, GA and formerly of Terre Haute and Chicago died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, GA. She was born June 4, 1943 in Terre Haute to James H. Nobel and Mary K. Matherly Nobel. Katherine is survived by her husband, Larry L. Henkle of Dallas, GA. Other survivors include a son, Keith McClenning; two daughters, Tammy McClenning and Jamie McDaniel; her mother, Mary K. Nobel; four step-daughters, Mariann Smedegard, Kathleen Lange, Beverly Ayalle and Julie Stewart; a aunt, Lyndall Matherly; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lyman and Eva Hamilton Matherly and James F. Nobel and Marie Pfrank Nobel; her father; uncles, Lyman “Curley” Matherly, Jr., “Bud” Malone, James H. Turner, Oliver Perrill and Delbert Euartte; her aunts, Betty Euartte, Evelyn Turner and Valara Perrill; her father-in-law, DeWayne Henkle; and several cousins. Kathy was a member of Bandenburg E.U.B. Church and attended Maple Avenue, Sugar Grove Schools in Terre Haute, Schurz School in Chicago and was a graduate of Streator, IL Senior High School. At sixteen, Kathy was employed at The Norwegian American Hospital, followed by various insurance companies, Midwest Transformers in Grayslake, IL, and Northlake Engineering in Antioch, IL. For many years Kathy was a resident of Georgia, leaving behind many good friends and caregivers to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with the Reverend Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the funeral home.
