Mrs. Lucille Nesmith Braly

Mrs. Lucille Nesmith Braly, affectionately known as "Mama Cile", age 87 of Dallas passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.

 

 

Mrs. Braly was born on May 25, 1925 in Boston, GA, thedaughter of the late John Madison Nesmith and Bette Anna Carter Nesmith. Mrs. Braly was a telephone operator with Bellsouth and enjoyed swimming and walking. Mrs. Braly joined Lee Street Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA at the ageof 15 and was a wonderful Christian woman. Mrs. Braly was currently a member of the Pumpkinvine Baptist Church. She loved reading the bible and praying.

 

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Samuel Uhland Braly; two daughters, Nona Marie Coppola and Barbiaca Constance "Connie" Barnett; and several brothers and sisters.

 

 

Mrs. Braly is survived by two sons, Sam (Donna) Braly andUhland (Myra) Braly, all of Dallas; four daughters, Betty (Jimmy) Robinson,Becky (Ronnie) Gravett, Sana (Keith) Shipp, and Martha (Mark) Covington, all of Dallas; grandchildren, Samuel Braly, Ben (Leah) Braly, Abi Braly, Madison Braly, Wesley (Casie) Bennett, Natalie Bennett, Josh (Erica) Robinson, John (Tere) Robinson, Hagan Robinson, Nathan Hembree, Matthew Gravett, Ansley (David) Norton, Laura Shipp, Catherine Coppola, Nicholas Coppola, Alex Moss andRachel Moss; great grandchildren, Olivia Robinson, Julian Robinson, CarolineRose Robinson, Ethan Bennett, Kaydan Bennett, Connie Smith, and Caleb Bennett;and many nieces, nephews and beloved family and friends.

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Braly will be held on Thursday,January 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Pumpkinvine Baptist Church with Rev. ThomasCole, Ben Braly and Sam Braly officiating. Interment will follow at the Paulding Memorial Gardens. Grandsons, Wesley Bennett, Josh Robinson,Samuel Braly, Nathan Hembree, Madison Braly, Nicholas Coppola and Alex Moss will serve as pallbearers. Grandsons,John Robinson, Hagan Robinson, Ben Braly and Matthew Gravett will serve as honorary pallbearers.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onTuesday, January 15, 2013 from 6-9 pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 9 am –9 pm and on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 9 am until they leave in procession for the church.
