Funeral Director Posted January 8, 2013 Report Share Posted January 8, 2013 Mrs. Doris Ferguson Carroll, age 87 of Rockmart passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Bethel Gardens in Powder Springs, GA. Mrs. Carroll was born on October 8, 1925 in Rockmart, the daughter of the late Charlie C. and Effie Lee Baxter Ferguson. Mrs. Carroll retired from Runell Manufacturing after 62 years of service and was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars in the Beulah community. Mrs. Carroll was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and quilting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Chess Carroll and a son, Mike Carroll. Mrs. Carroll is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Rick Frazier of Powder Springs; granddaughter, Rachel Frazier; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be held on Thursday,January 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. David Stringer and Rev. Carlton Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. LarryCarroll, Edward Carroll, Kenneth Moody, Greg Caldwell, Rick Frazier, TonyWhittenburg and Ty Caldwell have been asked to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5:30 – 8 pm and on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 1:30 pm until the funeral hour.
