Mrs. Eva Mae "Pank" Gurley

Mrs. Eva Mae “Pank” Gurley, age 82 of Rockmart passed awayon Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Higgins General Hospital in Bremen.

 

 

Mrs. Gurley was born on May 15, 1930 in Rockmart, thedaughter of the late Ed Causey and Ella Lucinda Hall Causey. Mrs. Gurley had attended Mt. Olivet BaptistChurch and Beulahland Baptist Church and had worked as a cook for a nursingfacility. In addition to her parents,she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Francis Gurley in 1996; foursisters, Annie Morris, Bessie Norton, Frances Daniel, and Margaret O’Neal; andthree brothers, Raymond Causey, Rader Causey, and Wilbur “Bud” Causey.

 

 

Mrs. Gurley is survived by two sons, Jimmy Franklin andBonnie Gurley of Ranburne, AL and Donald Wayne and Rosemary Gurley of Rockmart;four grandchildren, Christy and Andy Traylor of Carrollton, Shane Gurley ofRockmart, Jay and Brianna Gurley of Carrollton, and Amy Welch of Rockmart; fivegreat grandchildren, Rebecca Welch, Cody Traylor, Kelsey Traylor, Jesse Gurleyand James Gurley; special nieces, Randy and Judy Potter and Tony and TrishPace, all of Dallas; several other nieces and nephews.

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Gurley will be held on Tuesday,December 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the

 

Beulahland Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Smallwoodofficiating. Interment will follow inthe Beulahland Baptist Church cemetery.

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home onMonday, December 17, 2012 from 4 – 9 pm and on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from9 am until they leave in procession for the church.
