Mrs. Betty Joann Price Watts, age 76 of Dallas passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Wellstar Community Hospice.

 

 

Mrs. Watts was born on July 24, 1936 in Marietta, GA, the daughter of the late John Wesley Price, Sr. and Annie Ruth Pickett Price. Mrs. Watts was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading, gospel music and her family and grandchildren. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claiborn Franklin Watts on September 24, 1989; a sister, Johnnie Ruth Gant; and two grandsons, Joshuah “Bodean” Watts and Samuel Joseph Watts, Jr.

 

 

Mrs. Watts is survived by a daughter, Sammy and Kathy Watts Harris of Lebanon, TN; three sons, Sammy and June Bennett Watts of Hiram, Michael Watts and Tim Watts, both of Dallas; mother, Annie Ruth Pickett Price of Calhoun; two brothers, John Wesley Price, Jr. of Acworth and Ronald Grady Dickson of Calhoun; a sister, Carolyn Stark of Macon; three grandchildren, Sherry Bennett, Christie Millican, Stacie Pittman; great grandchildren, Ashlin Watts, Aaron Harris, Jarron Harris, Cole Millican, Clay Watts, and Alissa Pittman; a great great grandchild, Raiden Harris; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Watts will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Cole and Rev. Ron Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Paulding Memorial Gardens. Michael Bennett, Jerry West, Jeff West, Aaron Harris, Jarron Harris, and Charles Millican will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Cole Millican and Clayborne Thomas Watts.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 9:00 am until the funeral hour.
