Funeral Director Posted November 27, 2012 Report Share Posted November 27, 2012 Mrs. Betty June Foster Finch, age 87 of Dallas passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Betty Finch was born on June 1, 1925 in Augusta, GA,the daughter of the late Vernon Stephens Foster and the late Mary Sims Foster. Mrs. Finch was a member of the High Shoals Baptist Church and had worked for Lockheed. She was active in the Paulding County Republican Party and was a delegate to the convention. She was an avid Braves baseball and Georgia Bulldog fan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Mr. Alfred Finch, Sr. on January 6, 2011; a brother and two sisters. Mrs. Finch is survived by a son, Mr. & Mrs. Al (Kaye) Finch, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Mr. Paul Finch of Mt. Pleasant, SC; granddaughter, Mr. & Mrs. Anthony (Alison) Brock of Virginia Beach, VA; two great-grandchildren, Presley Finch and Durham Finch; two sisters, Molly McDowell of Richmond, VA and Ann Barsh of Jackson, SC; as well as many other beloved family members and friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Finch will be held on Thursday,November 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the High Shoals Baptist Church with Dr. Marcus Finch and Rev. Marvin Gunter officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart, Becky Bearden and Wendy Yazujain. Pallbearers will include Clinton Yarbrough, Dempsey Bosch, Gene Graham, Charles Johnson,Doug Matthews, and Bernard McDonald. Interment will follow in the High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 28,2012 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 9:00 am until they in leave in procession for the church. .
